This spring, the trend is all about a fashion staple from the 90s-2000s, and a must-have in our wardrobe: denim! Yes, the total denim look is one of the main trends that will dominate the summer season, so we've put together the best possible combinations to adopt the trend.
The total denim look made an explosive appearance this season by monopolizing part of the Fashion Week catwalk. Okay, denim is nothing new, but what's new this season is that it's really being used in every way possible (really, every way) and layered. From dresses, bustiers, corsets, short and long skirts, straight, asymmetrical, and even ruffled... In short, you get the picture, it's all there! But how can you adopt it without falling into a fashion faux-pas?

From head-to-toe denim
For a trendy and very feminine all-over denim look, you can pair a little denim dress, whether it's a bustier or a spaghetti strap, with a bomber or loose jacket (always in denim, we don't lose sight of our goal).
For a slightly more casual outfit that's sure to succeed, we recommend a pair of flare jeans paired with a belted denim jacket. Of course, the pair of shoes you choose to complete this look will make all the difference! At Vanessa Wu, the "Double Denim" trend isn't enough for us. So, we upgrade it with a 3rd denim piece: a pretty pair of denim canvas wedge sandals for a fresh look. If you're going to adopt the trend, you might as well go all out, right?
Another option, and not the least: the timeless and super flattering denim jumpsuit. Pair it with a pair of white sneakers, a raffia basket or belt bag, and even a silk scarf tied around your neck, and you're ready to tackle your day in style.
Finally, for an ultra-cool look and to surf another trend revival, opt for a denim skirt, preferably mid-length and split (so summer 2023), which will bring a little bohemian chic to your outfit.
